Happy 9th Birthday to Joomla!

Happy 9th Birthday Joomla!

Today we celebrate the 9th Birthday of Joomla!

Joomla!® is a popular Free and Open Source (FOSS) Content Management System (CMS) or also referred to as a Content Management Framework (CMF).

On the 1st of September, 2005 the birth of Joomla! was announced, and on the 15th of September the first release was introduced to the world.

One year on, and Joomla! celebrated its first birthday with "more than 2,5 million downloads" and "over 50 thousand members and fast approaching half a million posts" on the Joomla! Forum.

Fast forward to 2014, and the Joomla! CMS is still going strong with:

Happy Birthday Joomla!, and thank you to all the volunteers.

Eyethu Events new web site

We are proud to announce the relaunch of the Eyethu Events web site.

Their old web site, that was built on Joomla! CMS 1.5, served them well for many years, but it was time for a fresh new look, built with the latest version of the Joomla! Content Management System (CMS) software.

Static Black Media created the new design, and we converted this to a responsive (mobile-friendly) Bootstrap template and migrated the web site content to Joomla! 3.

We are proud to announce the relaunch of the South African Law School web site.

The old web site content was migrated from Joomla! 1.5 to Joomla! 3.x and a new responsive template created. A new site structure and menu was also created.
